PROJECTS

This section has information received from our members regarding a variety of projects that can be done to help people in need. Some projects involve making quilts or toys for others and some projects will provide fundraising examples.

BABY QUILTS FOR JAPANESE EARTHQUAKE RELIEF

Submitted by Darlene Pratte, St. Louis Missouri, USA

Darlene is a new member.  She is a quilter and a small business owner.  Her Rotary Club has decided to do a quilt show in June of 2012 and would love to challenge RFQFA members to enter a quilt into the show.  More information about the show is forthcoming.

In addition, Darlene provides us with two documents detailing quilt projects to benefit Sendai Japan.  One is for a crazy quilt and one is for a baby quilt. Click on the links below:

Hearts and Hands for Sendai

2011 RI Convention, New Orleans USA May 21-25

The RFQFA Polio Fundraiser will be held at our booth in the House of Friendship.  All members are welcome to contribute by donating a yard of fabric or a 10 1/2 inch block which represents their country or state.  Also, we welcome any handmade items that can be brought to the convention.

We are not allowed to sell items from our booth, however, if convention goers would like to make a donation to polio in exchange for an item, RI has made this possible.

Here is the criteria for this year's project.  Click on:
